The Mongol invasions of Japan of 1274 and 1281 were major military operations undertaken by Kublai Khan to invade the Japanese islands after conquering Korea. Despite their ultimate failure, the invasion attempts are of macrohistorical importance, setting a limit on Mongol expansion, and ranking as nation-defining events in Japanese history. They are referred to in many works of fiction, and are the earliest events for which the word kamikaze, or "divine wind", is widely used. In addition, with the exception of the Occupation at the end of World War II, these failed invasion attempts are the closest Japan has ever come to being invaded within the last 1500 years.
Besides national boundaries, the significance was that the Zen Buddhism of Hojo Tokimune and his master Bukko had gained credibility, and the first mass followings of Zen teachings among samurai began to flourish.

earthquake in Japan

I head out to a night in Shibuya. I barely even scratched the surface of all the crap I could say about Shibuya. In fact I could probably make this whole vlog just called "Life in Shibuya." But anyway, here is just a quick intro to the place. I went to a party/networking-event sponosred by Sanyo. It was meant for Vloggers, and I seemed to be the only YouTuber there, all the better though, as there was a raffle for two free cameras.
The name of the bar is "The Pink Cow"

The comedian I saw is named "Hard Gay Razor Ramon"

Also, you'll noticed Im playing around with the intro a bit. Some music I tried making in Garage Band. I'll probably keep tinkering with it. Also, aplogies for the low audio in some spots. I was using a mic, and aparently it is a piece of crap. Live and learn.
Here is a video from the woman who gave the presentation at the event. Some footage of me winning too.
